On del.icio.us`s blog Nick Nguyen announced a new bookmark extension for Firefox. I just tested it and am completely blown away. The extension comes with a sidebar you can sort and search your del.isio.us bookmarks instantly, view tag intersections, and even modify your bookmarks. It´s dead-easy to tag a link and add it to your linklist. As the extensive sites directories of our Site Collection is managed with del.icio.us the extension comes just very, very handy.
Extension Qick Tour.

This is a really neat service for all of you who run comprehensive websites and like to introduce your visitors to it.
Amberjack, created by Arash Yalpani, is an Open Source javascript library which enables webmasters to creat cool site tours. Watch the demo on Amberjacks site.
You can get this service in two ways: either you download the library and integrate it into your own site or you use the tour wizzard. Best of all is, you don´t rely on the available tour template skins but can create your own easily.
Drupal users are fortunate as Stefano wrote an amberjack Drupal 5.x module.
Germans can watch a screencast on Amberjack published by pixelgraphix.de.
If you regard this service a gimmick, you probably never trained people on computers. The amount of people with computer knowledge in real world is very low. Remember your parents, aunts or even colleagues. No question, navigating a website should be an intuitive process. Many people though have never developed such an intuition. If your targeted audience are not computer freaks but f. e. people who seek information on f. e. health issues, consider Amberjack as a great tool introducing your website and services.

2 weeks ago i saw an ad on television inviting the viewer to vote for the top dog of Germany. 2 years ago there was a show going on: Top Ten Germans ever! Einstein, Gutenberg or Albrecht Durer? These guys have nothing in common, did not even live in the same time, but folks let me tell you such Top lists are important!
What, for Gods sake would you do if you would not know your countrys top dog or top (historical) citizen? Yeah, the universe probably collapses over your heads and you are helplessly lost.
Top Ten lists bear a kind of magic in themselfes. People who deal with numerology argue: 1 is fulfilled in 10, which is 1 in existence, and the power underlying all existence – the “source and root of eternal nature.” 10 creates all things and is the kingdom or crown of God’s creation.
Christian cultures believe in the Ten Commandments. 10 disciples followed Jesus and soon Germany knows all about their top 10 dogs!
If you are a web developer or designer you are probably interested in the top ten web devs or designers of the world. Arghh and it sucks if you are not on the list but your f**** neighbour is. Never mind, the net is full of top ten lists and chances are not so bad you eventually make it on one of those lists. Fact is, every clever blogger rolls out his/her top ten list once in a while. Don´t believe it? Here is the proof: toptentoptenlist.com.
I have to close this article now. My time is limited, do i have to go through the list of 100 dogs to find the top ten ones!
Important, important.
