Now it is out: the winners of the TXP template contest were announced by Tom Fadial last night:
After what must have been an almost impossible judging task simply because of the quality of the templates submitted, and an equally arduous tallying session, I am happy to announce the results of the first annual Textpattern Template Competition.
The Winners:
- Serene by Vladimir Agafonkin
- White and Wild by Rob Sable
- Catashelf by Thomas Arie Setiawan
- Edelweiss by Birgit Zimmermann
- Juanes by Darice de Cuba and Jasper van den Ham
Vladimir Agafonkin is overwhelmed by the news and says:
I just can’t express all my feeling about this… It’s unbelievable! To be the winner… Thank you everyone for your support and feedback, thank you Thame, all the sponsors and judges to make this beautiful event happen, thanks to all TXP developers and contributors out there...
Funny enough Vladimir and TXP Mag did talk about his chance to win lately: Vladimir expressed his hope to be one of the winners so he can afford some serverspace which was a bit of a problem to him as he lives in the Ukraine and financial situation was a bit tight.
No real surprise is that Rob Sable is one of the winners. His submission is a clean, well structured and to the eyes pleasing template. So is German TXP user Birgit Zimmermann `s template Edelweiss.
The contest was a real success due to Tom aka Thames effort to get some nice prizes from some great sponsors together. Tom was so kind to give TXP Mag a short interview.
