If you like to get an impression of what people – and especially design talented folks do with Textpattern, visit the Textpattern driven showcase welovetxp.com.

Designer of this site is Sam Brown, who runs the scottish design agency massiveblue.
Peter Moulding interviewed Sam for txpq.com.
TXPQ is always worth visit if you like to stay tuned with what is going on on Textpattern. Currently there is an interview out with fabulous Nathan Smith, well know from the God Bit Project
Enjoy!

If you’ve ever used Textpattern for your CMS of choice, then likely you have found or used at least one of the plugins available from designer/developer Rob Sable of Wilshire One
Rob (under the name of Wilshire) has supplied the community with an abundance of plugins since August 2004. His plugins have included public side archive and tagging tools, as well as numerous admin side plugins like a scaled down database management tool that allows you to copy your TXP install

If you are a mac user and haven’t already stumbled across TextMate, then you’re truly missing something great. It is more than just a missing code editor, it is God’s code editor.
As a Textpattern user then, it’s been a great tool, but a couple of months ago, it really became much better for use with Textpattern with the introduction of Marios’ Buttner’s (consking.com):http://www.consking.com Textpattern Bundle. I haven’t even begun to poke the surface with this bundle, but on the very surface it allows you to have quick key snippets to quickly code up your site’s html and Textpattern tags. Just a bit further below you’ll find if you enable the associated and appropriate plugins, you can have a Textpattern editor that interacts directly with the database! No more cut and paste!
If you are indeed a fellow mac user, you owe it to yourself to check this out.

Just a couple of minutes ago, TXP 4.0.4 was released. Some nice news are: tagbuilder and UI are updated next to bugs and lots of other issues. Find the complete list of updates on the dev blog.
Thanks to wet (Robert Wetzlmayr) the Wikis taglist is more or less up to date too. Karsten Hesemann was so kind to update the german textpattern tag list.
This time many helping hands were involved in testing, sending patches and adding language files. Thanks to all who contributed!

Here are some news for our dear TXP friends and potential Textpattern endusers:
- Bert aka hcgtv set up Textpattern Planet, a page aggregating textpattern related RSS Feeds. It´s the best quick stop on the net to get the latest news on TXP.
- Who is searching for specific txp related infos can visit Rob Sables Textpattern Rollyo. Very efficient.
- The dev team is working on the next release 4.0.4. Sencer published a prerelease for testers. Download the zip from the devlog and report bugs to the forum.
- David from 1cog.com released a neat new forum stylesheet so you do not have to look at this current prehistoric forum design anymore.

Very nice themes for Textpattern can be found on textgarden.org. Textgarden is the official repository for themes and templates to download. In April/May 06 a textpattern themes competition took place. Find all entries and downloads (+counts) on textplates.com.
Stu Butcher offers txp themes/templates on just-another-theme.com.
Okay, i admit this article is pretty lame for all Textpatterners. But: one of the most common search phrases directing users to TXP Mag is in fact “textpattern themes”. Checking Google i noticed, either Textgarden nor Textplates is listed on top of the search results.
If one of our dear readers offers txp themes, please comment here adding your repositories URl. TXP Mag will link your site up. Thanks.

It was a rather long pregnancy for Kusor and his XML-RPC baby … but eventually he gave birth to it last night.
Welcome XML-RPC! And congrats Kusor!
With XML-RPC it is now possible to blog from a desktop client directly into your blog. Just install the files and you are nearly done. Should be stunningly easy to setup. Comprehensive information on the Dev Weblog.
XML-RPC increases TXP´s attractiveness a great deal. It was one of the most required features for a long time.
Let´s Thank Kursor for his work. Please donate a couple of USD/Euros and we buy him a book or a CD/DVD:

Russian bloggers and designers have a higher hurdle than most in coming to TXP. Consider how different the Russian language is to English and European languages, and that the Russian alphabet is Cyrillic.
Still, since Denny Bogomolov released his Textpattern driven site minimal.ru some others have followed.
One is Euheny Bondarovich (aka Riff) CEO of Minsk - based design company altevision.com. Euheny did an excellent job! The colour scheme is powerful yet unobtrusive. The liquid layout flows gracefully over the screen.
Originally a one-man company, altevision now has five employees.
They also run the designforum.ru.
I asked Euheny which other Russian design companies he recommends. He said: The big companies like astronim.com and so on are well known but I give preference to free designers with their interesting and individual works.
We hope more of the highly talented russian designers turn to TXP and discover it´s many advantages.
Further information on TXP in Russian can be received from textpattern.ru/forum.
