Last night a couple of dutch TexDriven guys met in Utrecht. (For our american readers: Utrecht is a small city in the middle of the Netherlands.) Mark Wubben did organize the meeting and it was a pleasure meeting him. Two other real celebs did attend the meeting: Dean Allen, who developed Textpattern back in 2001 and Anne van Kersten. Anne left early so we haven´t had the chance talking to him.

The dutch are pretty easy going people liking beer, rum-cola and tasty deep-fried meet rolls.

Dean Allen is a very nice guy. I guess everybody will like him. Having worked for an american company many years back, once again it was so obvious to me how much canadian/american mentality differ from the european one. While americans, and probably canadians too, think big, europeans think deep.

Dean confirmed that the Joyent/Textdrive venture will expand over to europe.
Compatriots, they prepare the Blitzkrieg ;)!

It was a relaxed meeting with lots of beers, cigarettes and fine talks. Thanks to all.
