Freshly Pressed

Alexandra Labudda, 1 November 2005
Freshly Pressed Host Company

Anyone who is reading the TXP Forum regularly has certainly come across one of Stuart Butcher’s aka thebombsite postings. Stu is also in charge of textgarden.org and a master of CSS.

Living in the UK and currently unemployed but really into the internet, Stu and three friends set up FreshlyPressed.

FreshlyPressed is like a web host kind of thing but really it is much more than just a hosting package. And it’s like a support forum thing except that it’s really more like a friend. And it’s full of little surprises. To put it simply – it is just a really good idea.

It is a new community in the making.

FreshlyPressed offers web hosting, but unlike the usual anonymous host who resides at the end of an email, the chances are that you will probably know at least one of the FreshlyPressed team. They are all well known and respected in their own field of expertise. Because of this they are able to offer added support for clients who use Textpattern or WordPress for their sites. It’s not necessary to use these two applications but if you do FreshlyPressed can hold your hand whilst it is installed and ensure it is running smoothly. If you want they can install one of the numerous themes available for both TXP and WP and they can also install/update plug-ins and ensure that they run properly. If you want, though for an extra one-off cost, they can produce a unique design for you. You won’t get this kind of service anywhere else!

The FreshlyPressed web site has it’s own vBulletin forum specifically for it’s clients, plus there is a Textpattern site – FreshText and a WordPress site – FreshWord, each dedicated to providing useful information and tips for clients using those two applications.

Do you think it sounds expensive? Well think again. The standard packages are very competitively priced. But that’s not all. If the standard packages don’t suit your needs, then unlike other hosts, FreshlyPressed is flexible enough to be able to offer a package tailored to your specific requirements.

In a nutshell, they know how it all works. They know what it is like to sit up all night and pour your brains out over a problem. New plug-ins can send shivers down your spine if you are not familiar with the upgrade process and whether you are a personal blogger or you need a system for your organisation or your business, they can provide a package that will suit your needs and will not burden you with problems.

Their motto is to NOT bamboozle you with all the technical details. That’s why FreshlyPressed has been set up. The enjoyment for you should be in using your software to produce the site you want with little or no hassle.

FreshlyPressed aims to make that process a whole lot easier along the way so why don’t you go and check them out.
